Directions to The Citadel Beach House

Here are the standard directions from the campus to the beach house. The address is:

4700 Palm Boulevard, Isle of Palms, SC 29451.

Please note that the Cooper River Bridge is also known as the Ravenel Bridge.

If you are leaving from a motel located near I-26 just follow the directions from the interstate. If you are staying on a motel located on U.S. 17 just take the highway north until it reaches the peninsula and becomes the “Cross-town” as mentioned in the directions. If you are leaving from the Best Western or Courtyard-Marriott, make a left onto Lockwood. Go through the traffic light, then make a U-turn so that you can take the entrance ramp to U.S. 17 North. (You can also make a left at the second light, then make a left at Courtenay, then a right onto U.S. 17 North.)

Some people prefer to bear right upon exiting the Ravenel Bridge and take Coleman Blvd headed for Sullivans Island. Coleman Blvd. becomes Highway 703, which makes a left turn upon reaching Sullivans Island, and then continues to Isle of Palms. When it reaches the Isle of Palms 703 becomes Palm Blvd, as mentioned in the directions. This route may have less traffic than U.S. 17.
