Restoration of Natural Areas and the Potential
Impact of Biofuel Crops
I have spent the last fifteen
years studying restoration ecology and conservation genetics in order to better
be able conserve, restore, and manage our natural areas. These natural areas
are an important part of our collective history, they
are part of our family and person history, and society as a whole places
preservation and effective management of these natural areas as a high
priority. In the February 13 Sigma Xi brown bag seminar, we will discuss
natural areas conservation, restoration ecology and how the push for biofuels could effect our natural areas.
